About

Originally founded & organized as the Wednesday Charity Club by Ms Ghosson of Houston, an American woman living in Beirut, Lebanon. Ms Gossen was was working as a volunteer in the outpatient department in the American University in Beirut Hospital. â€‹Originally established in 1952 as The Wednesday Charity Club, the name was officially changed to The Ladies of Houston Charity in 2018 when we received our 501(3) c designation. It was organized at the suggestion of Ms Gosson of Houston

The Ladies of Houston Charity was founded in May of 1952, at the home of Mrs. Marie (Stevens) Mafrige.  The primary nature of this Club has always been for Charity. As long as a genuine need is established, the Club has always stood ready to help.

This charitable work is entirely volunteer driven and the sole objective of the Club is to help others.

We host a few events each year to raise money to achieve that goal. You can find out what our next event is by checking out our events page up above. We are proud of our past events, too, so you can find information on what events we've done in the past there as well.

"The sole objective of the organization is to help others. As long as a genuine need is established, the Club has always stood ready to help."
